Education

Education:
The process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially under one's guidance at a place usually called a School or University. It could also mean the transfer of habits from one generation to other generation.Education may be of two types

  • Autodidactic: Self Education
  • Formal Education:Education under one's guidance

It is said that formal education makes a living while self education makes a fortune.
The present day education system is different from the past education system.
The outcome of education is wisdom, knowledge and application of that knowledge.
The past education used to take place in nature's company with healthy sun light and calmness of forests and the beautiful sound of burble or ripple of River.
But now this changed to place with four walls and some chairs.
Let's consider an example to illustrate the ingenuity of people of that time.
Speed of light was discovered in 17th century as 299792458m/s but from an Indian Veda speed of light has been mentioned as "taraNir vishvadarshato jyotishkrdasi surya vishvamaa bhaasirochanam tatha ca smaryate yojananam. sahasre dve dve sate dve ca yojane ekena nimishardhena kramaman."
By this one can say how powerful was the education in the past than how diluted it is now.
We ignore this knowledge passed to us by our ancestors and adapt to modern methods.

We have to introduce Vedic Mathematics in schools instead of normal mathematics.
We have to make people aware of vedas and enlighten them with the essence of Vedas.
The present education doesn't help people to solve problems in their life,it helps to solve problems in text books, but the education in the past helped people to deal with the problems encountered by them in their daily life.

So lets bring back the old educational system replacing the present education system which prepares people to solve problems in their textbooks not the problems in their life.
